CIVCO Adds New Needle Lengths to eTRAX Electromagnetic Needle Tracking System

CIVCO Medical Solutions is adding a variety of new needle lengths, ranging from 6cm to 18cm, for use with CIVCO’s eTRAX Needle Tracking System. Sterile needle kits are packaged in quantities of 1 and 10. All needles currently measure 16 gauge outer dimension and accept 18 gauge instruments and smaller. eTRAX and the new needle lengths are ideal for ablation, brachytherapy, core tissue biopsy, drainage, fluid aspiration and therapeutic delivery procedures with image guidance.

CIVCO’s eTRAX offers the next advancement in image guidance by tracking the tip of a needle using electromagnetic technology and real-time navigation in the interventional suite. This system allows physicians safe and precise placement of instruments during each procedure by monitoring the real-time trajectory of the needle as it advances.
