GE Healthcare Profit Grows 10% in Q4

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, UK, reported double-digit growth in profits for both the company’s fourth-quarter and year-end financial results.

For the final quarter of its 2010 fiscal year (end-December 31), GE reported revenues in its healthcare business of $5.10 billion, up 8% compared to sales of $4.71 billion in the fourth quarter of 2009. Fourth-quarter profit for the division was up $1 billion, up 10% compared to profit of $911 million in the corresponding quarter of 2009.
