GE Healthcare, a division of General Electric Company, introduced new technology at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s 2010 annual clinical meeting in San Francisco (May 15-19).

One of these technologies is the new GE Healthcare ultrasound automation tool, SonoNT™, designed to help provide reproducible, standardized nuchal translucency (NT) measurements on the Voluson E8 and Voluson E6 ultrasound systems. SonoNT joins a suite of automation tools GE Healthcare has developed to help improve patient care with technology that helps clinicians focus on early detection rather than late diagnosis.

Another ultrasound innovation for the Voluson E8 and Voluson E6 is the expansion of SonoRender Start which now can help clinicians reduce manual tasks during ultrasound examinations and, in turn, help significantly reduce exam time, bring down costs and improve patient care.
