PROGRAM Goes Digital!

Welcome to the first digital edition of CIVCO’s PROGRAM!

In this first issue of PROGRAM online, you’ll still find many familiar features.  In this issue’s Sonographer Spotlight and Ultrasound Pioneer, we profile SDMS President Charlotte Henningsen and Dr. Thierry DeBaere, head of Interventional Radiology at the Insitut Gustave Roussy in Villejuif, France. Dr. Mathieu Spriet of the University of California, Davis, provides case studies for three different methods of diagnostic imaging in horses for our Wild Things story.

PROGRAM Online provides CIVCO with a great deal more space than our traditional, printed PROGRAM. You’ll find expanded content for OEM News and Updates, Business Buzz and Quick Releases.  Additionally, you’ll be able to link to relevant websites directly from PROGRAM Online story, and leave comments on all the individual stories in PROGRAM Online.

Our main focus for this issue is the introduction of eTRAX, CIVCO’s breakthrough needle guidance system. eTRAX uses EMT technology to track the tip of various instruments during image-guided procedures, including tissue biopsy and ablation. Check out the article for the most in-depth discussion of eTRAX yet, and check back for updates on this innovative technology.

We’ve been preparing for this transition from traditional, printed PROGRAM to PROGRAM Online for several months, and I am truly excited about the opportunities this new format offers.  The flexibility of the digital publication allows us to cover more industry news, and it gives us the chance to form an online community of CIVCO users.
